About The Collective

The Songs & Stories Collective are Donna Marie, Sarah Yeo and Geoff & Victoria Meads, otherwise know as 'Tennessee Twin'. Their shared love of great songwriting and live performance brought them together during the first 2020 lockdown and a series of joint livestreams were planned. Eighteen live episodes were broadcast and they gained an increasing loyal fan-base with each passing show.

Early in 2021 the group released their first joint single, a cover of the wonderful 'Humble & Kind'. The free-of-charge download gained airplay around the world. The record was self-recorded & produced remotely and was joined by an accompanying video.

When live music started to open up again they planned their first real life show, which took place in October 2021 at Gullivers in Manchester. The result was an intimate evening of songs, stories, chat, laughter and (of course!) music, to a sellout crowd.

For 2022, the group have a number of other live shows planned, including Cambridge, London, Doncaster, York & Exeter. See the tour dates page for more details.

Here's a little about information about each of the Collective.

Donna Marie

Vocals, Guitar, Piano

Donna Marie is a singer-songwriter from Warrington in the North-West of England.

Her songwriting style mixes musical genres that have inspired her as a musician, is deeply rooted in ‘story telling’ and creates melodies that stay with you.

As a musician and vocalist, Donna is also part of 'Dominic Halpin & The Hurricanes' for the hit theatre show 'A COUNTRY NIGHT IN NASHVILLE', playing across the UK in some of the most prestigious venues, like Edinburgh Playhouse, Belfast Waterfront Theatre and The Royal Albert Hall.

Victoria Meads

Vocals, Bass, Piano

Victoria began learning piano and violin at the tender age of 6, playing in orchestras and taking exams on both instruments, before moving on to study singing in her teens.

She has performed all over the world with a variety of function bands and theatre shows, including female lead in ‘The Magic Of The Musicals’ in Dubai. She has been privileged to sing regularly at venues such as The Dorchester, Claridges and Sandringham House.

More recently Victoria has joined forces with her husband Geoff to form the award-winning Tennessee Twin, touring Nashville and the breadth of the UK, including appearances at The British Country Music Festival and the Cambridge Folk Festival.

Geoff Meads

Vocals, Guitar

Geoff comes from a musical family and has been performing since childhood. He took his music grade exams on brass but always had a love for guitar, an instrument that's been with him throughout his life.

His song-writing credits include co-writing a musical that gained rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and, of course, his work with wife Victoria in their ever-popular acoustic duo 'Tennessee Twin'.

Geoff's performing credits include dates in Nashville, mainland Europe and right across the UK. His recording history includes five albums over twenty years with his former rock 'n' roll band, plus a no.1 EP and various singles with Tennessee Twin.

Sarah Yeo

Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin

Native Devonian singer-songwriter Sarah Yeo has been releasing her brand of Country Folk music since her debut EP in 2014 and has gone on to record four albums and three singles.

The multi-faceted songwriter, with a "silky smooth" vocal and acoustic guitar, finds her main inspiration in everyday life, experiencing new destinations and nature. Sarah has taken her music across the pond to NYC, California and Europe to rave reviews.

Likened to the voices of Karen Carpenter, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Andrea Corr, many of Sarah's tracks have enjoyed BBC and independent radio play since she began releasing music.
